You have painted the true spirit of your homeland Clotilde! Beautiful painting and light depicting the agony and necessity of hard labor. Work is good, corruption bad. Hopefully people will look to God for strength and an end to mistreatment. Love this painting. fv vote
Clotilde Espinosa replied:
It must be frustrating not to be able to improve their livelihood but they are passionate about God and the Virgin dear Judy.

The light and shadow work is so incredible in this painting. Yes, these people are so hard working. I love the fields and nature in this scene and feel for the back-breaking work these people do! v/f/pin.
Clotilde Espinosa replied:
Thank you dear Lenore..you should see them how dirty they get because they burn it first!!

Life is hard in Mexico Laurie,.and the worst part is that now the poor is suffering more because of the corruption has increased sooo much, it is everywhere!

Thank you very much Mihyoun. The bad thing is when they burned the foliage to cut the sugar cane you can smell it and get the aches all the way to the city. Anything that brings money to people it has to be tolerated ...
